Sleepy dads, sons

This summer I've seen way more Dads with kids than Moms with kids.

What's up with that?

sleepy headsAre Dads finally taking a greater role in sharing child care responsibilities? Are Moms making a stand and taking separate vacations from Dad and son?

As a father with one kid, I do think it's great, and certainly don't wish to perpetuate any sexual stereotypes. I'm just calling 'em as I see 'em.

Yesterday, I saw bookend sets of sleeping dads with sleeping son -- both to and from work.

It was kinda cute.

Comments

I'm a stay-at-home dad and I think our numbers are growing quickly! I'm not sure what's caused the change in attitudes, but we're certainly not a novelty anymore!

It is the fact that judeges anr seeing that some dads make better parents than moms. I have a 7yr little girl that lives with me. I AM FEED UP WITH PEOPLE THAT THINK THE CHILD SHOULD ALWAYS BE WITH THE MOM. I have to fight all the time to show that I have all rights to my child. Daycare tells me they will call my ex before me. So it take in my paperwork and have to tell them you do it again and I will show up with the police and you will go to jail for breaking a court order.
