CTA's "credibility hurt" -- well, DUH!

The Tribune today quotes CTA President Frank Kruesi as say the CTA's credibility was hurt because they underestimated the cost of the Brown Line renovation, and now must close stations.

DUH!

From the CTA Brown Line construction page...

Q: Is CTA going to close the Brown Line during construction?
A: Once a construction contractor is selected, a construction plan will be developed that will outline service during construction.

So, in GovernmentSpeak, yes?

The problem is the CTA has been pulling those numbers out of its collective ass for some years now.

Gee, Frank, whose fault is that?

What a tool.

Having one's "credibility" hurt implies that one has credibility to begin with. In the CTA's (meaning Frank's) case, NOT. I have not despised someone so much in city government for a long time.
