Wedding plans
Welcome to June, the traditional wedding month. Last month I spotted one young couple dutifully preparing for the big event.
They were in their mid-20s, really collaborating well. The woman was sitting, the man standing in front of her. He's holding the page of a May 2005 calendar printed out. She's consulting the book "Wedding Chic."
She tells him to put a big circle on May 14. The rest of the month is blank. Since this happened on May 10, I sure hope they weren't just starting the planning.
Oh, and it appears she was settling very nicely already into the wife role. She spied a loose thread on his suit jacket and deftly pulled it out.
i hope the couple were just starting to plan either. thanks for the link, kevin.

I was on the crowded Green line home when a lady I was standing next to, got out of her seat and got a position closer to the door so she wouldn't have to push her way out on the next stop. I looked around to see if there were any elderly/handicap/pregnant women around (I saw your post Angie and I would have given the lady my seat) and I sat down. This lady was talking to her friend the whole ride about her wedding dress and her bridesmaid dresses. This lady went to a wedding dress boutique and the saleswoman was saying that she wasn't going to beat $312 for a bridesmaid dress. Apparently it was a designer dress and it was heavily marked down. I kinda wonder what was wrong with the dress if it was selling for $312. That's when the bride-to-be told the lady that she could go to David's Bridal and pick out a dress that was just as good and her bridesmaids (they lived in Mississippi and Louisiana) didn't have to come to chicago to get fitted. I don't know what kind of designer dress it was, but I was in Jessica McClintock two weeks ago and saw really nice dresses for under $250.
