CTA OKs email alerts system

The CTA board Thursday OK'ed a plan to send email alerts to CTA customers.

"A three-year, $88,874 contract with GovDocs, Inc. of St. Paul, Minnesota was approved to implement and maintain the e-mail subscription service."

Comments

How much spam...er...'information from the CTA's marketing partners that provide goods and service I might need', is going to be involved here?

They couldn't find a local company to give their money to?

What is Kruesi talking about when he says there's also traffic related information on their web site?

Does that mean they are now going to actively maintaining the content on their site?

Too much whining here. I complain about the CTA as much as anyone (probably more), but give credit when credit's due. We should be applauding them for taking proactive steps when an opportunity presented itself.
