Happy Holidays and Happy CTA Trails from the Tattler

Each year for the holidays, my very talented artist wife makes a detailed drawing depicting our family. Call it our family portrait, only in pen and ink. (Even our pet cockatiel Ahab gets in the act.)

This year we wanted to celebrate two important things about 2005: the White Sox World series victory and the fun we've had with ctatattler.com.

Here is this year's card, scanned for your enjoyment. (Sorry, I didn't have your address.) Thanks very much for reading this blog and making fun and insightful (inciteful?!?) comments. And yes, that is my daughter happily ensconced in the Hobo Corner, a term that she coined. No snarky comments allowed.

Cheers! (Illustration by Susan Wise.)

That is a great X-mas card. I love it.

That is so nice! Thank you!

First off, mad props to Susan! That card is awesome!!

It's been a rather entertaining year here... looking forward (with dread?) to what 2006 has in store for us transit warriors!

Guys, Jenny and I would like to thank you for your beautiful card. Props to Susan for her great drawing and talent. We love it and it has taken center stage in our Christmas tree.

Now, 2 questions:
1. Why does Susan have a karate pose?
2. Would she draw one of me and Jenny?

Happy Holidays !!!!

That's great:)

She's a stippler!

Aw, man, your wife has amazing patience to shade like that!

Just to be a killjoy, the real car 2005, long retired and probably scrapped had blinker doors, not the sliding ones. Blinker doors are still on the 2200 series cars.

Yup, looks like a 3200 to me ... except the white light should be in the middle, not on top.

Do I get some nerd points? ;) ;)

Still an awesome picture, though.

Hey,
Ease back on the picking at minutae! 2005 is denoting the year, not a car number... many compliments to the artist, that is a fantastically intricate undertaking. Happy Holidays!

Happy No El!

Just one of your anonymous readers de-lurking to say I love the card--and the blog!
