Upcoming Brown Line station closings; public meeting Thursday

Let the construction begin!

The CTA this week announced closures of the Kedzie and Rockwell stations for up to six months starting on Feb. 20 for construction.

New_brown "Kedzie and Rockwell will temporarily close to rail customers starting February 20," said the CTA in a press release. "Rail customers who normally board at Kedzie are asked to board either at Kimball station, adjacent to Kedzie, or Francisco, which is located between Kedzie and Rockwell stations. Rail customers who normally board at Rockwell are asked to board either at Francisco or Western station. Western station will remain open throughout construction."

Weekend closures of stations between Kimball and Western also are scheduled to begin Feb. 24 and continue for four weekend, through March 19. The closures will start at 10 pm on Friday and go through 2 am on Monday.
