Nude man on the Sheridan platform
Continuing with "Crazies Week" here at CTA Tattler, I give you the whole story of the nude man on the Sheridan platform, which was told here on Monday via comments to this post.
The story begins on the Red Line headed south on a Monday morning. Bleary-eyes commuters are still trying to wipe sleep out of their eyes when a guy begins yelling and screaming, and tearing up money.
Yes, tearing up money. (Don't you wish you had enough money to tear some up?)
Soon, tearing up money wasn't enough. So he began tearing off his clothes. On the train.
Next thing you know, the train is rolling to a stop at Sheridan, and crazed tear-up/off man leaves the train.
Nude.
Anyone else have any further details?
I don't have really any other news but I was one of the people getting on that train when the naked man and I were face to face. I thought it totally ruled but let me tell you that the train smelled horrible (as if the Redline ever smells normal). It was great to see the looks on peoples faces when they got on later stops as to what was going on. Around the Chicago stop, a few kids thought they struck gold as they picked up every ripped doller. Sadly no one informed them that that isn't the kinda money you want to be touching.
Overall it made my Monday and reassured my love for the city.

As someone once said "Welcome to the red line folks"...
The red, AKA the beater line. Runt of the litter. The forgotten step child.

That's the way I want to start out the work week.......
It seems like every line has its own type of crazies and that definately sounds like a red line crazy.
