New non-handicapped seating

After I posted earlier this month about strange things I've seen people carry on the train, Tattler reader Dean shared this photo with me. We're not sure whether they were moving that day or just trying to get a more comfy train seat.

This sort of reminds me of an experience I had at a hotel in Arkansas a few years ago. This hotel was barrel-shaped with a ten story atrium in the middle and had glass elevators. When I entered the elevator to get to my room, there were a bunch of kids in there sitting on chairs that they brought from their rooms. They were just going where the elevator went. I thought I had entered the first-class elevator by mistake!

One wonders what would have happened if a handicapped rider had gotten on and needed that space...

Would this guy have been gracious, gotten off with his furniture and waited for another train (since I doubt there was anyplace else a chair would fit), or would he have been an ass about it?
