DC Metro derailment: 20 hurt, 60 rescued

The DC Metro suffered a derailment Sunday, resulting in 20 passenger injuries and the rescue of 60 passengers. This derailment pushes the CTA derailments out of the limelight for the moment, as the rail line that's just 30 years old suffers more PR problems.

Details here.

Here's what happened in November, from the AP report:

"In November, two Metro track workers were struck and killed by an out-of-service train in November. An investigation found the train operator failed to follow procedures. Another Metro worker was struck and killed in May."
