I'm really intrigued by this last group. They sound British, yet sing about the Red Line and Addison. Who are they? My Google-fu revealed nothing!

Since we're having video day here at the Tattler, go to the Tribune website and find the video from Monday entitled "CTA Promises Faster, Eco-Friendly Service." It's footage of Richie and Ronnie on the bus with Mary Peters. There's also coverage of the press conference announcing BRT. At about 2:35 in the video His Mayoral Majesty replies to persistent questions about parking rates with his inimitable "not as high as high" comment. Fast-forwarding to approximately 3:20-ish reveals Mayor Mumbles recitation of the CTA creed. Hilarious.

Empathy from Toronto. We need that for the TTC. Those bastards went on strike last weekend with no warning, it's more expensive than the CTA, and there are only 2 subway lines.

You know, I must have watched this about 20 times today....and every time I laugh more.

I wish I could get the uncensored audio..I'd put in on my MP3 player and play it over and over again for my whole 45+ minute trip to work every morning at a volume high enough to hear outside my earphones like the annoying people do most of the time when I forget to recharge my BT headphones :)

I absolutely love the part where the motorman comes on over the PA and you can't understand the announcement...its just....classic CTA.

I had a bounce in my step and a smirk on my face all day :)

It's also inspired me to work on an idea I had, and may be just the kick in the butt I need to get it launched.

*wink wink, nod, nod*

According to the description on the YouTube page, the song is from the Q101 morning show, a parody they did. I can't find any info about it on the Q101 website tho. Since it was a radio station parody song, chance are there isnt an uncensored version available... sorry Kevin :P

Also, I found it kinda amuzing that they were dancing in the middle of a Metra track for portions of the 'Crank dat CTA' video.

Interestingly enough the picture of a station that flashes is actually the brown line Addison station if I'm seeing things right..

The guy said he didn't actually hate the CTA, he actually hated the animation that was in the background :)

I see someone else named Dee has popped up--put an initial or something on to differentiate if you're going to be a regular, please! :)

I dropped a line to the Q101 Morning Fix host to see if he'd be kind enough to identify the artist. Worth a try ...

I'm the one who dedicated it to KevinB (just a joke, KB). But glad to find out who created it and where it's from. I thought it was from some Brit who was here for maybe a week and developed that opinion in that short amount of time.

I found it just by Googling ""I hate the CTA"... amazing what you can find under that.
