As Unindicted Co-conspirator says, there's so much CTA news out there, why write about silly stuff! Silly me! Yes, important news, such as another stupid idea for a capital-spending bill from our great Gov. Blagojevich -- and it's probably dead on arrival, like his other plans.
This latest plan would dump the gambling expansion idea and replace it with a partial lease of the lottery. And he cuts the original $34 billion plan by about 25% -- to $25 billion.
But the plan is probably DOA because state legislators have been resistant to leasing the lottery. And, of course, House Majority Leader Mike Madigan was the only legislative leader not to attend the meeting that Blago called. I love to report on our dysfunctional government.
So yes folks, no more of those silly stories about crazy things I see on the CTA. This stuff here is WAY more important.
