Chicken bones doofus

Note to the doofus who ate fried chicken on the Red Line and tossed the bones on the floor:

I hope some day you have to crawl through the sticky mess you made.

You are disgusting.

I feel better n0w.

oh geez. Here we go again!

Today, and for the second day in a row, I saw a young girl (High School age) faint on the Blue line at Clark and Lake. About 7:30 am. She was with her mother, and many people rushed to help. She was OK after a moment. Is there a flu bug going around? Or, just not enough sleep and no breakfast?

I too hate it when I get on the red line heading Northbound from rosevelt on up the line to Howard. its just a filthy UNHOT mess! Good thing they get cleaned at howard right!

Yes, the cars get swept out and mopped up at Howard and at 95th, too. I've seen the crews hop on with garage bags, brooms and mops to do what they can while the train is waiting to reload for the next trip trip.

That's gross. Can't you wait to toss it onto the street? (Also gross, but takes little time to adjust to in Baltimore :)

Keep your cup half full, Kevin. It could have been human waste.

I have often wished that same fate to a man I would see on the purple line express who would spit his sunflower seeds right onto the floor while listening to his police scanner.

We're all grouchy today. I called some kid a douchebag and told him if he hit me again with his backpack I would push him off the bus through the back door.

threatening kids on the bus is always fun for everyone.

They don't always get cleaned up at Howard. I take a SB Red line at Howard every day after work, and about 25% of the time, the trains are full of trash. Once I had to switch to a different car because there was vomit on the floor.

i think its the popeyes at the wilson stop that provokes using the red line cars as a chicken bone repository. I have seen on more than one occasion chicken bones on the floor of the red line. Never see biscuits or mac and cheese however.

Do these people do this in their own home as well? Wait, maybe I don't want to know that answer... The sunflower seed piles are also annoying. I've always wanted to say something, but risked starting a fight.

I don't mean a small child, just some douchebag who may have been in high school or possibly in his 20s. I'm old, I can't tell anymore.

I was on a Red Line train northbound from 35th last week. It was obviously a car that had recently been to the famous beauty shop at Linden. The car was so clean it didn't smell like anything. Unfortunately someone chose to tag the car with a permanent marker, dump a couple pudding cups in the hobo corner and spit sunflower seeds in the window vents. I was filled with near-homicidal rage.

Yet another reason why I'm glad I moved to DC. The "No Food or Drink" law is much more rigoursly enforced and you don't see people using the Metro as their personal picnic table or outhouse.

I think that an important question would be "What can be done about these people?" Is there some way that the no eating/drinking/smoking/littering rules can be enforced? It seems like there are a lot of people that think that the rules don't apply to them. It should go without saying that there is no pooping on the train, but it seems like some people need an announcement about that too.

The CTA is lawless. Have you ever seen anyone enforce anything? If a passenger isn't concerned with common courtesy, why would they be concerned with following a rule that they'll never be caught breaking? If there was any sort of enforcement riding the trains other than pathetic-looking German Shepherds after midnight, it might be more a pleasant system for everyone.

I'm sure everyone has had bad experiences with indifferent, rude CTA employees. CTA's financial problems are tough to fix, but hiring polite station attendants and operators actually concerned with their passengers' well-being shouldn't be a problem.

I once saw a homeless person begging for money and bothering some people so I told him to get off the train, when he wouldn't i pushed him, he tried to punch but missed and I punched back... I guess I'm a bad person but at least there was some enforcement there.

I DID say something to a sunflower seed spitter once. They just looked at me like I was the crazy one.

I totally feel your pain, Kevin. Somehow a lot of people completely forget that they are civilized beings on the train. It's beyond me how it happens, but it does.

And the sunflower seed people suck. I hate them so much. I fantasize elbowing them so hard in the jaw that they're off any solid food for months.

Wow, some of us are angry today.

I hate the Flamin' Hot Cheetos eaters and the nail clippers.

Oh my God, Joe, do NOT even get me started. One day I'm probably going to harm someone very badly over their nail clipping. There's almost nothing that pisses me off more on the El than that.
